Located at KKL 1009, the Bloomberg Lab of the School of Economics and Finance (the "School") was established in 2010. It has 11 Bloomberg Terminals and six non-Bloomberg terminals for SEF students and teaching staff members. Bloomberg Professional® services ("Bloomberg") is the premier source of market information and analytical tools for financial managers. Bloomberg Terminals provide 24-hour instant financial, economic, political, and business information covering almost all market sectors and countries.
Besides providing the hardware, the School has also prepared a Bloomberg Users' Manual to help teachers and students integrate Bloomberg in their study and hence realize the full extent of Bloomberg's educational value. Besides offering Bloomberg Professional® services, the Lab also provides a number of software packages and databases such as EViews, GAUSS, Mathematica, Mathlab, SAS, SPSS, Stata, etc. for students to conduct their research.
