Biography

Dr. Wang joined the University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2011. He received the Ph.D. degree in accounting from Duke University in 2006 and worked for the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) until 2011. Dr. Wang has the teaching experience of several undergraduate courses, including Introductory Financial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, and Intermediate Accounting II. He also teaches the MBA course of Management Accounting and the PhD course of Research Methods for Business Studies (as one of co-instructors).

Dr. Wang’s research focuses on the issues of executive compensation, financial disclosure quality, corporate governance and insider trading. His papers were published on various world-leading academic journals, including Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, and Review of Accounting Studies.
