The International Forum on Logistics and Supply Chain Management

(October 11, 2010, Hong Kong) – The School of Business,  E-Business Technology Institute and the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering of the University of Hong Kong will be holding an International Forum on Logistics and Supply Chain Management on October 13.   World leaders in academic and the industry will gather at the Cyperport campus of the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) to exchange views on logistics and supply chain management development and its relevance to sustainable economic development for Hong Kong’s strategic positioning as a regional and international business centre.


The Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker for the Conference are Miss Janet Wong, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, HKSAR and Dr. Victor Fung, Group Chairman, Li & Fung Group respectively.  Other confirmed distinguished speakers include Mr Ma Yongzhi of the Transport Committee of Shenzhen Municipality, Professor Stephen C. Graves of the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Professor Ellis Johnson of the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr Kenneth Tse of FBE, and Mr Tommy Lui of IDS Logistics and more.

Members of the media are cordially invited to attend the forum. Details are as follows:

Hong Kong is a world-class logistics hub leveraging on its unique geographical position, efficient infrastructure and well-trained workforce.  Supply chain visibility, risk management and networking capability for supply and customer relationship management are topics of most concern for companies to compete in today’s volatile and interconnected global economy. The Forum will shed light on some of the future strategic directions of supply chain management and its role in sustainable economic development.

國際學術和業界領袖主講物流及供應鏈管理國際論壇


(香港2010年10月11日) – 香港大學商學院、電子商業科技研究所和工業及製造系統工程系將携手於2010年10月13日舉辦物流及供應鏈管理國際論壇。世界各地學術和業界領袖將齊集於經濟及工商管理學院位於數碼港的校舍,一同探討物流和供應鏈管理的發展方向及其對香港作為地區和國際商業中心的持續經濟發展的影響。
